1.PCB industry is developing rapidly
Since the reform and opening up, China's preferential policies in labor resources, market and investment have attracted the large-scale transfer of manufacturing in Europe and America, and a large number of electronic products and manufacturers have set up factories in China, which has led to the development of related industries including PCB. According to China CPCA Statistics, 2006 China's actual PCB production reached 130 million square meters, the output value reached 12.1 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 24.9% of the global PCB output, more than Japan became the world's first. 2000 to 2006 China's PCB market annual growth rate of 20%, far more than the global average level. 2008 the global financial crisis caused a huge impact on the PCB industry, but did not give the Chinese PCB industry a disastrous blow, in the national Economic policy stimulation 2010 years China's PCB industry has a comprehensive recovery, 2010 China PCB production value of up to 19.971 billion U.S. dollars.
Prismark predicts that China will maintain a composite annual growth rate of 8.1% per cent in 2010-2015, above the global average of 5.4%.
2. Uneven regional distribution
China's PCB industry is mainly distributed in South China and eastern region, both add up to 90% of the country, industrial agglomeration effect is obvious.
This phenomenon is mainly related to the main production base of Chinese electronics industry in the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River delta.
3.PCB Downstream application distribution
China's PCB industry downstream application distribution as shown in the figure below.
Consumer electronics accounted for the highest proportion, reaching 39%, followed by computers, accounting for 22%, communications accounted for 14%, industrial control/medical equipment accounted for 14%, automotive electronics accounted for 6%, and defense and aerospace accounted for 5%.
4. Technical backwardness
Although China is from the industrial scale is already the world's first, but from the overall PCB industry level of technology, still lag behind the world's advanced level.
In the product structure, the multilayer board occupies a large proportion of the output value, but the majority of the lower-end 8-layer products, HDI, flexible board and so on a certain scale but in the technical content with Japan and other foreign advanced products there is a gap, the most technical content of the IC carrier plate in the country is very few enterprises can produce.
